Service Description
Most coffee classes teach you on commercial equipment you'll never use again. You leave feeling confident — then get home, pull a shot on your own machine, and everything falls apart. DMV Barista trains you where it actually matters: your kitchen, your machine, your grinder, your water. I come to you and dial in your exact setup using detailed extraction methods, so every skill you learn is one you keep. By the end of the session, your machine will be producing the best coffee it's capable of — and you'll know exactly how to keep it there. What we'll cover (tailored to your skill level and goals): - Dialing in espresso on your specific machine and grinder — grind size, dose, and extraction, with a repeatable recipe you can return to - Milk steaming and texturing for lattes and cappuccinos - Real-time troubleshooting of the quirks unique to your setup - A clear routine so your daily cup is consistent, not a guessing game Pricing $250 for a 2-hour private session. Additional time at $100/hour. Add friends or family for $50 per additional person. All coffee and training materials included — plus a 12oz bag of coffee to keep practicing with after I leave. What you'll need: an espresso machine and grinder, counter space, and access to power and water. No experience necessary. Perfect for new machine owners, home baristas ready to level up, couples, and anyone tired of expensive equipment making mediocre coffee.
Cancellation Policy
Booking Fee Full payment for your class is required at the time of booking to secure your spot. Until payment is received, your spot will remain open and may be offered to other clients. Cancellations by Client More than 2 weeks before your class: You may cancel and receive a 75% refund of the total payment made. Between 1 and 2 weeks before your class: You may cancel and receive a 50% refund of the total payment made. Less than 1 week before your class: You may cancel and receive a 25% refund of the total payment made. Within 72 hours of your class: No refund will be issued. Cancellations by Instructor In the unlikely event that I need to cancel or reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances, you will be offered a full refund of all payments made, or the option to reschedule to the earliest available date that works for you. No-Show Policy If you are not present at your scheduled class without prior notice, all payments made will be forfeited and no rescheduling will be offered. Rescheduling Requests More than 2 weeks before your class: You may reschedule without penalty, subject to availability. Your booking fee will transfer to the new date. Less than 2 weeks before your class: Rescheduling requests are subject to availability and a 10% rebooking fee of your total. Emergencies: Life happens — please reach out as soon as possible and I will do my best to work with you fairly.
